National Memorial Arboretum
We are delighted to hold our Photo Workshops at The National Memorial Arboretum. The NMA is situated in the centre of England and with close proximity to the Midlands motorway network it is within easy reach from any part of the country. The National Memorial Arboretum provides a fantastic venue for our Workshop and in addition to providing numerous possibilities for photographers to develop their hobby, there is a poignant reminder to the high price many of our service men and women have paid serving our nation since 1945. Buxton Pavilion Gardens
We are delighted to hold our One Day Photo Workshops at the magnificent Pavilion Gardens in Buxton. This venue has a terrific wealth of photographic opportunities with fantastic architecture including the Pavilion itself and the historic Crescent immediately opposite. The Pavilion Gardens are 23 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens. The pavilion has a beautiful conservatory which is an additional bonus and offers a range of photo subjects even in wet weather. This venue is ideal for bringing the whole family for a day out and has a family zone and baby station. The Gardens are enjoyed by over 500,000 people every year and the combination of walks, lakes, play areas and miniature train ensure that they remain a firm favourite. The Pavilion Gardens are right in the centre of Buxton which is a popular for shopping. There is a super newly refurbished Café and Art Café for lunch time dining or you may choose to bring your own packed lunch. The Pavilion Gardens are undergoing a modernisation programme to include a lift for wheelchairs although this facility is not available at the present time. ' Delamere Forest Cheshire We are delighted to hold our Photography Workshops at this lovely location. Delamere Forest is the largest wooded area in Cheshire and covers 950 hectares of mixed deciduous and evergreen forest, open grassland and wetlands. Our Workshops start the day in the Education Centre. Outdoors we take advantage of the wonderful photographic opportunities in the forest and the wetlands area of Blakemere Moss. Delamere Forest Smithills Hall Bolton We are delighted to hold our Photography Workshops at this stunning venue. Smithills Hall is a magnificent Grade 1 listed building brimming with wonderful photographic opportunities. Our workshops are held both inside the Medieval and Tudor half timbered Hall with it's fascinating furnishings and architectural features and outdoors in the 2,000 acres of woodland and formal gardens. Smithills Hall & Gardens Snacks and drinks available from the cafeteria. Very easy walking. Free admission to the museum for those attending the Workshop. Rudyard Lake Staffordshire
We are delighted to hold our Photography Workshops at this beautiful venue.Our Workshops commence in the meetings room at Rudyard Lake Activity Centre which is situated at the Dam Head of the Lake. Outdoors there are lovely photographic opportunities with the lake nestling under gentle wooded hills, all kinds of sailing activities, the Victorian Boathouses and in the summer a delightful Steam Railway is in action. Rudyard Lake Activity Centre Bring a packed lunch or food can be purchased from the cafeteria. Parking by the centre is £3.00 for the day or free parking on the road. Rudyard Lake Activity Centre has a disabled access ramp, wheelchair lift and a disabled toilet. Ness Botanical Gardens
We are delighted to hold our Photo Workshops at the beautiful Ness Gardens on the Wirral. These spectacular gardens have magnificent views out across the Dee Estuary to the uplands of North Wales. We start the day in the education Room then enter the gardens for lots of hands - on practical work amidst the beautiful landscaped terraces, water features and rock gardens. This course is suitable for disabled people although not all of the gardens are currently accessible. Parking is free. Each one day course costs £95 or £80 per person for two or more people attending the same venue on the same day. There is a separate charge for entrance into the gardens. Ravenstor YHA
Ravenstor YHA Ravenstor is a beautiful country house set in 70 acres of grounds with spectacular views over the Peak District National Park. A path in the grounds leads down to Miller's Dale. The scenery in this part of the Wye Valley is magnificent. The richness of flora and fauna along the dale sides has resulted in the area being designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest and Derbyshire Wildlife Trust has several nature reserves in the area. A moderate level of fitness is required as in places the terrain can be steep and uneven. Unfortunately wheelchair users can't be accommodated on this course. Each one day course costs £95 or £80 per person for two or more people attending the same venue on the same day.
